Preface
This booklet was produced as an aide for my clients, with my best intentions in mind. As a personal trainer, I am routinely allowed to help people improve their health and fitness via exercise and nutrition.
People commit to working with a personal trainer for several reasons: weight loss, improved sports performance, enhanced general health and fitness, strengthening weaknesses such as low back pain, and a physician’s recommendation. There is a surplus of good information available to assist one with all these reasons and unfortunately as much poor information. This conflicting information can be very confusing for those who are searching for guidance and answers on health, fitness and weight loss.
The information in this booklet is based on my personal experience. Moreover, I have tried to use only information backed by scientific data. However, scientific data is frequently updated with new findings. I have tried to include the latest data available to help you master key strategies for optimum health and fitness. Whether your goal is to achieve optimal wellness or a less aggressive goal, such as losing five pounds, there is useful information for you in this booklet.
This booklet should be used as a reference. Refer to this booklet often, the more you incorporate it into your life the healthier you will be. Change takes time; whether modifying bad habits or improving body composition, the longer you continue working toward your goals the easier it becomes to achieve those goals and the better your results will be.
